Caol Ila 25 Year Old joined the core range in 2010 at 43% ABV, following earlier cask-strength editions. The Islay single malt matures for at least 25 years, making it older than the Caol Ila 12 Year Old and 18 Year Old in the same collection.

Notes

Lemon and oak develop into leather, pepper and ginger. A sweet, oily texture carries peat smoke through a long finish.

Caol Ila takes its Gaelic name from the Sound of Islay, the channel separating Islay and Jura. Hector Henderson chose this secluded eastern shore in 1846, placing his distillery across the water from the peaks of the Paps of Jura.
