A final maturation in French ex-cognac casks distinguishes Zacapa XO. Before this stage, Guatemalan reserve rums are blended through the Sistema Solera in barrels previously used for American whiskey, sherry and Pedro Ximénez wine.
Notes
Dark cherry, chocolate, dates and prunes meet clove, vanilla and cinnamon. Long and smooth, with dried mango, raspberry and ginger appearing on the finish.
