Product details

Zacapa Solera Gran Reserva brings together Guatemalan rums matured through the Sistema Solera. The sequence uses casks that previously held American whiskey, sherry and Pedro Ximénez wine, making both blending and successive cask types central to production.

Notes

Dried fruit and apricot build into oak, nutmeg, coffee and vanilla. Full-bodied, with honeyed butterscotch, cinnamon and ginger through a long, spiced finish.

THE STORY OF ZACAPA

Zacapa was created in 1976 for the centenary of its namesake Guatemalan city. Its later story is shaped by Lorena Vásquez and the solera approach, in which casks with different past lives contribute their own character to the evolving rum.
