Product details

Yamazaki 18 Year Old 100th Anniversary uses only whiskies matured in Japanese mizunara oak. Every component is aged for at least 18 years, making this limited centenary release distinct from the standard Yamazaki 18 Year Old.

Notes

Dark cherry and ripe peach meet cinnamon and nutmeg. Spiced chocolate orange and incense lead into a long finish of clove, sandalwood and dried coconut.

Shinjiro Torii established Yamazaki near Kyoto in 1923, choosing a landscape and climate that could give whisky a Japanese identity. Its water and production methods laid the foundations for the country's first malt whisky distillery.
