Bourbon hogsheads form the main cask selection for Talisker 25 Year Old, alongside European refill casks. A quarter-century of maturation places this limited Skye single malt among the longer-aged expressions in the distillery's collection.

Notes

Heather and rose introduce salted caramel, chilli chocolate and smoky barley. Nectarine and creamy, waxy sweetness give way to cedar on a very long finish.

Talisker began at Carbost in 1830, after the MacAskill brothers arrived on Skye from Eigg. Facing Loch Harport with the Cuillin hills behind it, the distillery endured fires and changes of ownership while keeping the island as its home.
