This exquisite 51.9% volume whisky blends famously rugged Laphroaig flavours with a mellow sweetness after a quarter of a century in ex-Bourbon casks and barrels once filled with Oloroso sherry. When the whisky is finished maturing, extraction, filtration, and bottling of the whisky produce a taste similar to that at the source, with full strength. Peat smoke and spice offer remarkable flavors with the balance of vanilla and apple that are layered and full-bodied, and they coat the palate smoothly for a unique mouthfeel. This would be unattainable without the proper patience to mature this premium whisky for the layered and long finish that sets it apart.
Notes
Layered and creamy, with flavours of pepper, iodine and peat smoke along with hints of green apple. Lingering with waves of smoke and a peppery conclusion.
