Selected Dominican rums aged for up to 6 years in ex-bourbon oak are blended for Ron Barceló Gran Añejo. The expression centres on the barrel reserves, with the different matured components assembled into the final blend.

Notes

Chocolate and vanilla lead into caramelised nuts. The palate is semi-dry, with nut butter and caramel gradually fading on the finish.

THE ORIGIN OF BARCELÓ

Barceló established a local following in 1950 with the launch of Blanco and Dorado after years of experimentation. Exports to Spain followed in 1994, taking the Dominican family name into a market that would become central to its growth.
