Highly toasted oak and filtration over onyx stones distinguish Ron Barceló Imperial Onyx. Selected Dominican rums mature for up to 10 years before the stone-filtration stage, giving this release its own process within the Imperial collection.

Notes

Cherry, coffee and toasted nuts introduce a robust palate. Wood and vanilla become more prominent, with a long, structured finish.

THE ORIGIN OF BARCELÓ

Barceló established a local following in 1950 with the launch of Blanco and Dorado after years of experimentation. Exports to Spain followed in 1994, taking the Dominican family name into a market that would become central to its growth.
