Mortlach 16 Year Old recalls the distillery's first 16 Year Old bottling, released in 1992. The Speyside single malt spends its maturation exclusively in sherry casks, continuing the cask tradition behind that earlier release.

Notes

Apricot and honey fill a robust, mouth-coating palate. Leather and spice balance the sweetness, leading to a long finish with a savoury edge.

HISTORY OF MORTLACH

Mortlach keeps the name of a village that preceded Dufftown. Founded in 1823 as the town's first licensed distillery, it later found new direction under George Cowie and his son Alexander, whose work secured its place in whisky making.
