The small Wee Witchie still gives Mortlach 12 Year Old its name. Matured in European and American oak, this Double Cask Speyside single malt introduces the distillery's distinctive production heritage through a 12 Year Old expression.

Notes

Demerara sugar, dark chocolate and cherry jam develop into tobacco and savoury richness. The finish is dry, with bitter plum lingering.

HISTORY OF MORTLACH

Mortlach keeps the name of a village that preceded Dufftown. Founded in 1823 as the town's first licensed distillery, it later found new direction under George Cowie and his son Alexander, whose work secured its place in whisky making.
