Product details

Edouard Martell created Cordon Bleu in 1912. A high proportion of old Borderies eaux-de-vie, joined by Grande Champagne, remains central to the blend. Maturation takes place mainly in oak barrels that have previously held eaux-de-vie.

Notes

Candied plum and apple, mocha, toasted almond and vetiver. The mellow palate develops gingerbread and cocoa before a long finish of fruit and spice.

MEET MAISON MARTELL

Jean Martell left Jersey for France in 1715 and built his house through relationships with local winegrowers. His interest in the small Borderies cru gave its distinctive soils a lasting role in the character and identity of Martell cognac.
