A few surviving bottles of Edward VII Reserve in Jarnac inspired Patrice Pinet to create XO Royal. The blend combines Fins Bois de Jarnac and Grande Champagne, recalling the cognacs made for Europe's royal courts in the teardrop decanter.
Notes
Truffle and summer flowers on the nose give way to toasted hazelnut, honey and cinnamon. Rich on the palate, with a long, powerful finish.
