Cognac meets Japanese oak in the first collaboration between Thibaut Hontanx and Suntory's Shinji Fukuyo. Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne and Borderies eaux-de-vie spend at least 10 years in French oak, followed by 28 months in Mizunara casks.
Notes
Candied orange, coconut and jasmine precede sandalwood, dried fruit and cinnamon. Cocoa, vanilla and pepper follow, with soft tannins and a long, mellow finish.
