Product details

A port-cask finish distinguishes Talisker Port Ruighe. Its Gaelic name refers to Portree, Skye's historic trading port, and honours the merchants whose sea routes connected the island with Portugal and the port wine trade.

Notes

Pepper and peat develop across a creamy, smoky palate. Dark fruit adds sweetness before cocoa and drying smoke linger on the finish.

MADE BY THE SEA

Talisker began at Carbost in 1830, after the MacAskill brothers arrived on Skye from Eigg. Facing Loch Harport with the Cuillin hills behind it, the distillery endured fires and changes of ownership while keeping the island as its home.
