Within the Laphroaig 10 Year Old Cask Strength whiskies, Batch 15 holds a particularly grand weight to convey its divergent, yet familiar taste. Tempered through the land, sea, and air of Islay with an unyielding vigor, Batch 15 allows for a flavorsome communication from glass through cork to you. Deliverance of this Batch 15 whisky, its ingredients melded together by our patient use of time, is characterized by a 56.5% vol cask strength and emits its sweetness and spice, a nicety of hard labour.

Tasting notes

The Original Cask Strength is sweet and spicy with notes of vanilla, toffee and sea salt along with hints of cinnamon and pepper. Long finish with lingering spice, oak tannins, iodine and sea salt.

This classic flavour of our 10 Year malt whisky is the inspiration for every expression in our repertoire. It’s best known for the iconic peaty thump we’re famous for. Every sip smothers your senses with our outstanding smoky flavor, followed by hints of seaweed and a long finish with surprising sweetness. Laphroaig 10 was created over 75 years ago by the maverick Ian Hunter to bottle the very nature of Islay. To this day, many of our friends at the distillery say it’s their favorite dram because it’s the embodiment of the island we call home. Laphroaig Sherry Oak combines the unmistakable flavor of our 10 Year Old with the sweet, aromatic additions from Oloroso sherry casks. Launched in 2021, it’s the newest expression in our range and has quickly become a firm favourite among our Friends. It’s a happy marriage between rich, full bodied flavour and notes of Manuka honey, bacon and maple syrup. A sweet and smoky dram that’ll take you away to Islay.
