Hooghoudt Single Cask 25 Year Old comes from ex-Oloroso cask 563. The third release honouring five generations of the family is enriched with calamus, orris, sandalwood, wormwood and juniper, then bottled at cask strength.

Notes

Currants and raisins open into bay, orris and sandalwood. Roasted almond, dried fig and vanilla fill a powerful palate, followed by a long finish of wood, herbs and warm spice.

THE LEGACY

Hooghoudt's 25-year release honours Hero Jan Junior, the family's third generation. He developed Jonge Dubbele Graanjenever and launched it in 1968. Cask 563 gives his chapter a place in a series devoted to five generations of the family.
