Glengoyne 21 Year Old matures exclusively in selected sherry casks for 21 years, predominantly first-fill European oak. The expression concentrates on one cask tradition while retaining the distillery's slow distillation and use of unpeated barley.

Notes

Red apple, strudel and toffee meet sherry, dried fruit and honey. Oak and cinnamon build through a long, warming finish that gradually dries.

Glengoyne gives each stage of whisky making time, from air-dried barley to slow distillation in copper stills. Its oak casks take six years to prepare, placing years of patient work behind the wood before the spirit even begins to mature.
