Fettercairn 12 Year Old matures entirely in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels. At the Highland distillery, copper cooling rings allow water to run down the outside of the stills, a distinctive step before the 12 years of oak ageing.
Notes
Vanilla, pear and spice develop into nectarine and tropical fruit. Roasted coffee, clove and ginger add warmth, followed by sultanas and dark toffee.
