Product details

The decanter for Clase Azul Tequila Blanco Ahumado embodies the artisanal process used to craft the spirit it holds.. Its subtly textured ceramic base evokes the volcanic stones that slow cook the cores of blue agave, while the glass alludes to the gentle smoky character that defines this singular tequila. The delicately smoky profile of this unaged spirit stems from the revival of ancestral tequila-making techniques. The agave for this tequila is cooked slowly in a pit oven lined with firewood and volcanic stone, imparting subtle notes of smoke.

Tasting notes

Smoked agave, fresh plum and red apple. Smoked agave and fresh lemon with a mineral front that gives way to a silky finish with smoky undertones.

THE EXCLUSIVE CLASE AZUL

Our iconic decanter, a unique creation in the world made by the hands of Mexican artisans, began our dream. Our name was born from our inherent nature. Clase Azul - blue like the agave our spirits are made from and like the paint on our first Reposado decanter. We are grateful to have found people along our way who believed in our exquisite vision of Mexico: a vision full of dedication, excellence, and beauty. To make our exquisite creations possible, in 2007 we founded Tradición Mazahua—a ceramic workshop in which Clase Azul artisans dedicate themselves to creating our decanters, tributes to Mexican culture.
