Chivas XV is aged for 15 years – and is ready for you to enjoy tonight. Refined, fruity and velvety flavours are laced throughout this blend, complementing our iconic Chivas house style. Created in 2018 by Master Blender Sandy Hyslop, Chivas XV is a celebratory way to enjoy blended Scotch whisky. This blend is laid down to rest for a minimum of 15 long years – represented by the Roman numerals XV – so that rich flavours are ready for you to enjoy in an instant. Pairing this long maturation with a selective finish* in cognac casks results in a truly luxurious and velvety finish. With notes of rich sultanas and touches of warm cinnamon, this is a blend worth toasting to.

Tasting notes

Incredibly smooth and fruity. Flavours of poached pears intermingled with butterscotch and caramel toffees, all rolled up in a wonderful velvety texture. Rounded with a touch of vanilla on the finish.

CHIVAS BROTHERS

In 19th Century Aberdeen, James Chivas started experimenting with some of the aged whiskies laid out in his grocery store cellar. A visionary act that would later change the Chivas Brothers story forever. Growing up on a remote Scottish farm, James and John Chivas were acutely aware that the world around them was changing and the idyllic backdrop they called home was no longer big enough to support their desire to make a difference. Following a three-day journey on foot, the brothers found themselves in Aberdeen. A city that perfectly matched their ambition. Finding gainful employment at an Aberdeen emporium James was quickly captivated by a whole new world of tastes, smells and exquisite flavours. Anything seemed possible and James quickly garnered a reputation for obtaining the unobtainable. When John joined the business Chivas Brothers was born.
