Selected aged reserves are blended and double-filtered for Borgoe Extra. The Surinamese expression builds on the original Borgoe collection, with the choice of stored rum stocks and two-stage filtration central to its production.

Notes

Gentle wood and caramel lead a soft, rounded palate. The finish is smooth, with the oak character remaining restrained.

ORIGIN OF BORGOE

Borgoe takes its name from Mariënburg, the former sugar estate in Suriname's Commewijne district. The first Borgoe Gold was introduced in 1982 to mark the estate's centenary, tying the brand to a specific place in the country's rum history.
