Charles Tanqueray developed his London Dry recipe in the 1830s. Juniper, coriander, angelica and liquorice remain the four core botanicals, preserving the recipe behind the original Tanqueray gin.

Notes

Juniper takes the lead, supported by coriander spice, earthy angelica and a little liquorice. Dry and direct, with a lingering botanical finish.

Charles Tanqueray opened his Vine Street distillery in London's Bloomsbury in 1830. More than three hundred experiments with botanicals followed, laying the groundwork for a London Dry recipe that would carry his surname around the world.
