Añejo is the youngest expression in Ron Abuelo's Panamanian collection and the starting point of its rum story. It introduces the blending tradition before the longer-aged releases, including 7 Años, 12 Años and Centuria.

Notes

Banana, apricot and fresh herbs meet wood and caramel. Light in texture, with a crisp finish and a faint smoky edge.

VARELA FAMILY

José Varela Blanco opened the San Isidro sugar mill in Pesé, Panama, in 1908. His family later turned to rum, and Varela Hermanos still works in the same town. Ron Abuelo's roots lie in that passage from growing sugar cane to ageing spirit.
