Distilled on 23 December 1977, Fettercairn 40 Year Old began its maturation in American bourbon barrels. It later moved into Apostoles sherry cask 6, making that individual finishing cask central to this 40 Year Old Highland release.
Notes
Honey, molasses and ginger introduce toffee apple and treacle. Sherry, liquorice, balsamic citrus and raisins deepen into demerara sugar, spice and tropical fruit.
