Fresh grapes provide the spirit base for Efe Fresh Grapes. After fermentation and distillation into suma, the spirit is redistilled with aniseed in copper stills, using the selected heart of the distillation for the finished rakı.

Notes

Fresh grape character sits alongside anise. The palate is balanced and gently rounded, with anise lingering on the finish.

HEART OF EFE

Efe first ferments grape juice, then distils it into suma before adding anise in copper stills. The middle fraction of that final run is known as the heart, or göbek. Choosing this cut is one of the distiller's key decisions in making rakı.
