The first decade of 20th century America saw Chivas 25 burst onto the scene. Alongside the flittering milieu of grand parties and theatrical attractions of Broadway, this luxury whisky took pride of place among the high society of New York. But Prohibition followed in 1920, cutting the 25-year-old Scotch whisky’s reign short. In 2007, Chivas Brothers reignited this remarkable blend to recreate the iconic tastes and textures that lay within the original luxury whisky. The pinnacle of blended Scotch whisky was reborn and remains a legend today. Only the rarest 25-year-old Scotch whiskies are blended together for this legendary blend. Every drop is meticulously blended to rekindle the delicate intensities and subtle textures made famous by the original Chivas 25 in the early 1900s.

CHIVAS BROTHERS

In 19th Century Aberdeen, James Chivas started experimenting with some of the aged whiskies laid out in his grocery store cellar. A visionary act that would later change the Chivas Brothers story forever. Growing up on a remote Scottish farm, James and John Chivas were acutely aware that the world around them was changing and the idyllic backdrop they called home was no longer big enough to support their desire to make a difference. Following a three-day journey on foot, the brothers found themselves in Aberdeen. A city that perfectly matched their ambition. Finding gainful employment at an Aberdeen emporium James was quickly captivated by a whole new world of tastes, smells and exquisite flavours. Anything seemed possible and James quickly garnered a reputation for obtaining the unobtainable. When John joined the business Chivas Brothers was born.
