Don Facundo Bacardí Massó introduced Carta Blanca in 1862 after a decade of development. The white rum established the BACARDÍ name and remains the original expression at the centre of the collection.

Notes

Orange blossom, lavender and rose meet apricot, lime, coconut and banana. Light and fresh, with a softly fruity palate.

THE FOUNDER: DON FACUNDO BACARDÍ MASSÓ

Don Facundo Bacardí Massó founded his rum house in Santiago de Cuba in 1862. When his wife, Doña Amalia, saw fruit bats in the distillery rafters, she proposed the emblem that would turn the family name into the local rum of the bat.
