Ardbeg 10 Year Old matures in American oak ex-bourbon barrels for 10 years. Made on the southern coast of Islay, the flagship single malt follows the established Ardbeg method of combining peated spirit with bourbon-cask maturation.

Notes

Peat smoke, lemon and lime meet pepper, toffee and brine. Coffee, liquorice and toasted almond build through a long, smoky finish.

RISE & FALL OF ARDBEG

Ardbeg's story includes two closures, in 1981 and 1991, that left their mark on its Islay community. Full-time production returned in 1997, more than 180 years after John Macdougall took out the licence that founded the distillery in 1815.
