Aberlour is already one of our favourite distilleries thanks to the excellent a'bunadh. Introduced in 2008, this 18 year old is now one of the stars of the range: rich and fruity, with a great textured mouthfeel.
Tasting notes
Perfect structure - initial notes of soft apricot and cream offset by developing flavours of liquorice and oak with a touch of honey. Very long and balanced, progresses from creme brulee to a gentle oak flourish.
ABERLOUR
Established in 1879, Aberlour is today one of the top ten Single Malt Scotch whiskies. Aberlour Single Malt was born in the Speyside village of Aberlour, made with local spring water from the Ben Rinnes and barley now locally sourced from the fields of our distillery. Aberlour specialises in double cask maturation, with whiskies matured in Oloroso sherry and American oak casks that are then combined to impart depth, complexity and character. Part of Pernod Ricard since 1974, this Scotch is born out of craft handed down over generations.
