Product details

Based on Yellow Label's traditional blend, this cuvée is composed of 50% Pinot Noir, 30 % Chardonnay, 20 % Meunier, completed with Pinot Noir red wine. The Cellar Master and his team of experts select excellent quality red wines and still wines from some of the most sought-after vineyards in Champagne to find the flavors and characteristics that perfectly express the Veuve Clicquot Rosé style. Veuve Clicquot Rosé is the result of a blending of grapes from as many as 50 to 60 different crus, and is composed of up to 45% reserve wines. The cuvée, based on the traditional Yellow Label blend and completed with Pinot Noir red wine, reveals red fruit aromas, gourmandise and strength. 3 years aging in the Crayères lends silkiness to the Champagne.

Tasting notes

The fresh attack is followed by a fruity harmonious sensation on the palate. The wine is perfected balanced in the best Veuve Clicquot style of pink champagnes, combining elegance and flair. The wine works its magic – this delectably full champagne can be enjoyed as a true delicacy. Full bodied and deliciously fruity, with intense flavors of juicy ripe strawberries and cherries, Veuve Clicquot’s Rosé is a burst of red fruits and the expression of Madame Clicquot’s ingenious and audacious spirit.

GRANDE DAME OF CHAMPAGNE

Barbe Nicole Clicquot Ponsardin was born in 1777, the daughter of a textile manufacturer in Reims, Champagne. Widowed at the age of only 27, she took control of her own destiny and became one of the first modern entrepreneurs. In an era when women were excluded from the business world, she dared to assume the head of the company founded by her father-in-law in 1772, a role she undertook with passion and determination. Her creativity and lust for innovation led to many firsts in Champagne: the first known vintage champagne; the invention of the riddling table; the first known blended rosé champagne. Three inventions that revolutionised champagne making and were widely adopted by producers, becoming the basis of modern champagne production. Madame Clicquot made her name into a brand of excellence and had it shine the world over. Her formidable contributions earned her the nickname of "La Grande Dame of Champagne".
