The Dalmore’s Cask Curation Series I is a celebration of the partnerships with some of the world’s finest makers, highlighting the global influences on the spirit and the art of cask selection. Strictly limited to just 150 sets worldwide, The Sherry Edition is beautifully presented in a bespoke leather-finished travel case hand-crafted in Florence, Italy – perfectly framing the trio. Each set will be accompanied by a complementary book featuring comment from Master Whisky Maker Gregg Glass, Master Distiller Richard Paterson OBE and Winemaker and Master Blender at Gonzalez Byass Antonio Flores. Owners of a Cask Curation Series will find instructions on how to claim their book, which will be sent out to them directly.
Tasting notes
26Y - Golden raisins, mandarin citrus, iced cherry cake, and sugared almonds. Fresh baked brioche, light roasted coffee, crystalized ginger, and warm vanilla. 28Y - Sherry-soaked raisins, Old English marmalade, marzipan, and liquorice. Dark cherries, molasses, dark chocolate, and cassia bark. 43Y - Sweet Madagascan vanilla, dark forest fruits, crushed almonds, and dark chocolate. Fresh baked brioche, grilled pineapple, and blood orange with a long sweet cinnamon finish.
The Sherry Edition
The 26 Year Old Vintage Sherry Finish - 48,2% - is matured in American white oak ex-Bourbon casks and finished in Cask #4 - a 2002 Vintage Oloroso Sherry Cask. Cask strength, natural colour and non-chill filtered. The 28 Year Old Matusalem Finish - 55,3% - is matured in American white oak ex-Bourbon casks and finished in Cask #73 - a very rare 30 Year old Matusalem Sherry Cask. Cask strength, natural colour and non-chill filtered. The 43 YO Apostoles Finish - 46,8% - is matured in American white oak ex-Bourbon casks and finished in Cask #1 - a very rare 30 Year Old Apostoles Sherry Cask. Cask strength, natural colour and non-chill filtered.
