Product details

Perrier-Jouët Belle Époque is the original Belle Époque vintage cuvée, first appearing in 1964. Instantly recognisable throughout the world, its bottle is adorned with the graceful spray of Japanese white anemones created for Maison Perrier-Jouët by Art Nouveau master Emile Gallé in 1902. Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Blanc de Blancs was originally created from the 1993 harvest and released to celebrate the new millennium – a symbolic moment for a landmark launch. True to the exacting principles of its founders, Maison Perrier-Jouët only declares a vintage in years of near perfect conditions, making all its Belle Epoque vintage cuvées a rarity, with Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Blanc de Blancs the rarest of them all. Perrier-Jouet Belle Epoque Blanc De Blancs 2012, a pale, luminous hue, like the rising sun.

Tasting notes

Delicate nose, characterised by aromas of white flowers: rose & white-fleshed fruit. A firm attack & satiny texture. Subtle, precise worked cuvée with a hint of white pepper.

MAISON BELLE EPOQUE

Built in the late 18th century, this elegant property houses the largest private collection of French Art Nouveau in Europe. It brings together a number of exceptional pieces by some of the greatest figures in the artistic movement. Located next to Château Perrier, with its vast greenhouses and gardens, La Maison Belle Époque welcomes you to a world where nature inspires art and art transforms nature. The Maison Perrier-Jouët was born in 1811 from the marriage of Pierre Nicolas Perrier and Rose Adélaïde Jouët, who together combined their passion for art and nature to create a unique vision of champagne. As a close friend of many artists, including several prominent avant-garde figures, it was only natural that Octave asked Emile Gallé, one of the pioneers of the Art Nouveau movement, to create a design for the Perrier-Jouët champagne bottles. Four magnums enamelled with a delicate arabesque pattern of white Japanese anemones were created in 1902, inspiring an exceptional wine that would later become internationally renowned as the Perrier-Jouët Belle Époque. An iconic design was brought to life.
