Product details

Complexity, refined. A supreme expression of the Martell art of blending. Martell Chanteloup XXO is named after the historic Château de Chanteloup near Cognac, France, which is the soul of Maison Martell. It is fitting, therefore, that Martell Chanteloup XXO takes cognac lovers right to the heart of the House, and to the very essence of its art of blending. This legacy of savoir-faire, perpetuated through nine generations, is today in the hands of Cellar Master Christophe Valtaud, who blends Martell Chanteloup XXO from up to 450 very old eaux-de-vie, from the four most prestigious cognac crus, brought together in perfect harmony. An unprecedent combination of richness and complexity, Martell Chanteloup XXO offers cognac lovers a complete expression of the very best of the Cognac terroir.

Tasting notes

Luscious aromas of honey, vine peach and apricot, complemented by notes of fig, almonds and walnuts. Intense fruity aromas predominate amid an impression of fullness, balance, power and elegance, which continues into a remarkably long finish.

MEET MAISON MARTELL

In 1715 Jean Martell leaves his native Jersey and arrives in France to devote himself to developing the art of cognac. He travels the region in search of the finest eaux-de-vie and establishes ties with local winegrowers that will last for generations. When Jean Martell founded Maison Martell, he already had his eye on the Borderies, the smallest and rarest of cognac crus. The grapes that grow in the silica-clay soils of the Borderies give its eaux-de-vie distinctive floral aromas and an exceptional smoothness. It is this unique terroir that lends the finest Martell cognacs their hallmark elegance and subtlety.
