A trio of Single Cask Single Malts celebrating The Dalmore's long-standing partnership with the finest winemakers of Portugal, Grahams Port. The 2024 release is the second chapter in the series that celebrates The Dalmore’s whisky making artistry and the role played by exquisite casks sourced from the world’s finest winemakers, in the creation of the iconic Single Malt Scotch Whisky. Limited to 150 sets worldwide, the second release explores how the rarest of Port pipes can enhance and complement the signature characters of our whiskies.
Tasting notes
27Y - Ripe figs, blackcurrant, and warm honey spice. Complemented with dark cacao, roasted chestnuts, dark toffee, and liquorice. Sugared almonds, citrus peel, crystallised ginger, and soft spice. 30Y - Blood orange, soft plums, dates, red liquorice, dark chocolate brioche, Tahitian vanilla, and patisserie spices. Madagascan vanilla, black cherries, candied orange peel, dark roasted coffee, and aged maple syrup. 43Y - Plum compote, passion fruit, marzipan, and red and black liquorice. Complemented with Alphonso mangos, and Morello cherries. Iced ginger cake, leather, sweet tobacco, poached pears, and soft wood spices.
The Port Edition
This 27 Year Old whisky from The Dalmore is an outstanding showcase of our cask curation potential. Matured in American white oak ex-Bourbon casks and then finished in Cask No.2 – a 1997 Single Harvest Tawny Port cask from Graham’s Port, resulting in an elegant and vibrant taste profile. The influence the rare Port finish has on this 30 year old whisky from The Dalmore creates a wonderfully balanced and complex marriage of flavours. Matured in American white oak ex-Bourbon casks and then finished in Cask No.3 – a 1994 Single Harvest Tawny Port cask from Graham’s Port, resulting in this delightful discovery. The oldest and rarest release in this edition. Matured in American white oak ex-Bourbon casks and then finished in Cask No.1 – a 1952 Single Harvest Tawny Port cask from Graham’s Port, a genuine rarity in the Port world.
