HOW IT ALL STARTED
Founded in 1999, the Kalika family established the business under the trade name Slijterij HILO. Initially registered as Slijterij Shara at the Chamber of Commerce, Slijterij HILO began as a regular liquor store. Starting in 2004, the second generation of the Kalika family shifted their focus towards the luxury segment.
By 2012, the luxury segment had begun to dominate, prompting us to rebrand as DrankenBoutique.nl. Coinciding with this change, we launched our webshop, DrankenBoutique.nl.
Around 2015, we embraced the idea of enhancing the luxurious experience and undertook a major renovation of the store. It was during this period that we established our standard for presenting luxury drinks to consumers.
Since 2020, our efforts have been concentrated on RICH&RIVANO. Leveraging our expertise in luxury goods and assembling a team of the finest professionals from the luxury industry, we have crafted the unique concept that RICH&RIVANO represents today.
In 2022, we began renovating our storage facilities, and at the beginning of 2023, we initiated a complete makeover of the Boutique. The design of the Boutique has been masterfully created by Robert Kolenik.

THE COLLABORATION WITH ROBERT KOLENIK
As a prominent design studio, Robert Kolenik (1981) has carved a unique niche in the high-end interior design landscape. The Amsterdam-based studio stands out for its commitment to sustainability and innovation, coupled with a signature style that is both warm and rich. Beyond the Netherlands, the studio undertakes international projects, including designing villas in the Cayman Islands and Ibiza. Each project features bespoke interiors with custom solutions, like the exquisite cabinets from Kolenik Cabinet. These stylish cabinets are also a notable feature of the RICH&RIVANO Boutique’s interior.
Kolenik was chosen for his timeless design ethos. He listens intently to the clients' desires, focusing on practicality and optimizing store layout. His involvement from the outset ensures direct and efficient communication. Upon seeing the initial sketches, we were immediately convinced that we had selected the perfect partner. RICH&RIVANO epitomizes the successful collaboration with Kolenik.
